I recorded a conversation with a patient, Robin, before I placed six implants for him; he is 80 and has had no front teeth for a decade. He talked a bit about what the surgery meant to him. After the proceedure, we discussed how he felt when we delivered the smile that he has not had for years.
Our goal was—depending on how tight the implants torqued down—to try to get him some teeth within in a short period of time. Sometimes, it’s possible that we have to go a few months to let them heal. However, if things go well, then a patient can have new teeth in place within a few weeks!
